Experience at an unregistered company

I've been working with a team of people at an unregistered "fund". The fund manager is a very successful trader and will establish a fund (as a company) once he is required to do so for business or legal reasons. I decided to join him and his team less than a year ago but I'm planning to apply for jobs at established companies now. I'm wondering how I should describe my experience? I'm thinking of talking about it as a Private or Startup fund but I suppose I can't talk about it or write it on my resume as official work experience since it's not a registered company and our pay is 100% based on fund performance.

Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks!
