Explicitly ask for resume push? (Networking with MDs)

I have been networking for SA 2023. I have spoken to a couple MDs and at the end of the calls they always say keep in touch etc. Also after my thank you email they usually reply "best of luck in the process, keep in touch". Should I explicitly be asking for a resume push? Or should I assume they are already going to help me out. Not sure how forward I should be.

Ask if they can connect you to anyone else in the group / if they know anything about how the recruiting process works at their group

tbh from the recruiting side I maybe get 5 resumes a year from MDs and 3 of them are friends/personal recommendations... they just aren't sticking their neck out for random SAs. But it is extremely helpful if you manage to get the name of whatever analyst/associate/vp runs recruiting so you can talk to them and say MD told you to reach out. much higher hit rate than asking them to push your resume which from experience they don't really do

I already sent a thank you for the call I had today so I’ll have to email again. Would “I would love to connect with whoever runs recruiting for the summer analyst program. I appreciate your support, thank you!” suffice?
