I would say that this works based on the banks' current needs. Most BBs offers off-cycle internships (usually 6 months) in London that can kind of start anytime. I know someone who started at a EU BB at the start of May this year, and I know someone else interviewing for GS off-cycle to start in September.
Interesting thing is that the latter one did not even apply for off-cycle, but GS contacted him following one of his previous application as they are looking for his profile type. Most off-cycle applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from what I know.
Some banks do offer a formalised Autumn internship process (CS), while JP do a Spring Internship process (Not a spring week, proper off-cycle internship). Other than that I'm not aware of any banks running formal processes but many do hire on a needs basis so keep your eye on the career sections of the different banks.
interesting, HR at pretty much all of the leading BBs communicated to me that they don't recruit off-cycles for IB positions in London. However, positions do exist at regional offices but they require fluency in european languages besides english.
How about for off-cycle roles outside IB? (e.g. Research, Risk FInance, etc)

Hi!
Does anyone know which banks (bulge brackets, elite boutiques, global mid market) in London are running fall internship programs (offcycle internships, usually 3-6 months long that begin in mid-September).
More specifically, do you know when this type of recruiting starts? Is it Feb-March?
One of my friends did a fall internship (off cycle) at Citi and the recruiting process was much less structured than traditional summer internship processes. He went from online application to offer in three weeks. He applied in the first week of September and started in August.

Try "Autumn", we have no idea what "fall" is.

As far as I know, JPM offers off-cycle internships during fall in London
JPM only offers summer and spring internships in London for IBD.
HL has a continuous offcycle internship in London too.
