Final round Corp Dev Interview with HR?!?!? HELP!!!

Hello my fellow chimps,

I recently had 2 interviews with a F200 utility for their Strategic Development Group. I had a first round (a simple behavioral phone interview) and the more technical final round interview, or so I thought. They gave us a case before hand, and we had to present it to the VP's of the group, the lead analyst and the MD.

After not hearing back for almost 2 weeks, I had assumed I did not get the offer. Surprisingly enough, I got a phone call this morning from HR saying they were going to have one more round of interviews. The thing that I find odd is the interview will be with 2 people from HR.

This seems to be some form of corporate reverse psychology they are pulling lol. I have never heard of a company doing this, having the HR be the final round, especially after having a decently technical interview with the heads of the group. They have also already sent me a summary of possible benefits if I get the offer, as well as a few other forms of supplementary information.

So my obvious question to you all, has anyone experienced this before? Any advice on what the interview may be like? I assume it will be only behavioral, but I feel like I am getting the Jedi mind trick played on me haha. Any advice or personal experience is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Are you sure it's an actual interview and they're not just going through your application to make sure everything is correct?

Well at least I am not the only one who finds this strange. And yes, i'm 100% sure it's an interview. They sent my a conformation email saying the two people I will be meeting with at their headquarters.

Either they came down to me and possibly one or two others and can't decide, as there were about 8 candidates at the final round. Or two this is a joke and I will walk into the room and there will be a party going on, but that's only in my fantasy world haha.
