Finance Interview

Hi, I was able to network my way into an interview in the finance department of a successful start-up (you may not have heard of the company, but you have heard of the founder and CEO). I am more interested in corp development/strategy for my career, but this company seems to allow for strong lateral/upward movement, and plus it is only an internship. I have no idea how to prepare because this is my first non-capital markets finance interview. The recruiter I talked to said they would ask me technical questions based on my resume, so I am studying everything technical I listed on my resume, including VBA and the fundamentals of the coursework I listed. Is this the right approach for this type of interview? I haven't really been prodded before on the knowledge of what is on my resume. The company has fewer than 1000 employees, so I am not sure what the role is that they envision a finance intern to have. By the way, this is a phone interview. I'd appreciate any help.

people tend to ask a lot of hypothetical questions at these companies. I would figure out stuff that could happen there and how you would deal with it. examples 1) major customer bankruptcy 2) sale offer 3) going public etc. be as knowledgeable about process as possible, bring something to the table
