Finance Rotational Analyst for big O&G

I know this isnt the place for this, but i really cant find much information on this kind of stuff, so i'll try it out here. I've interviewed with some IBD's this semester already & now I've got some financial analyst roles in O&G coming my way. Anyone know the exit opps? any shift into PE/HF/IBD or anything in finance? or are you in the O&G world until the end of time?

any helpful comments are appreciated, thanks in advance.

You can definitely transcend to either but the niche will still be O&G. If you have O&G experience, you will find opportunities for hedge funds, consulting firms but in the energy sector.

Been at two major O&G corps these past 7 months and have been in midst of a few pretty special job opportunities losing out for a variety of reasons, but you may not for those reasons. Heck, I'm still in the midst of some. I'm still interviewing with Goldman Sachs onto my third interview in two weeks.
