Finding non-profit internships/jobs
Where does one look for legit non-profit internships/positions?
I'm looking for a short-term position at a non-profit but I'm not really sure where to look or which ones to pick. Is there a list of legit nonprofits like TFA that people recognize or is the non-profit space just filled with thousands of organizations that don't necessarily care about building their brand equity.
My school's career website doesn't list that many opportunities so I'm curious to see if anyone has experience looking outside of their school's resources.
Thanks in advance.
www.idealist.org is where nonprofits post positions.
Hope that helps.
I agree with the above. It's a great web site, with a lot of internship and FT opportunities across the country and the world. Additionally, if you have any organizations in mind, you can check their specific sites for local opportunities or do a google search for a specific non-profit function you are looking to fulfill (ex. tutor/teacher).
