Hey everyone,
I'm a successful FX trader (easily averaging 2K pips per month) and I used to work on my own for the past 2 years. I was happy with how things were but recently my government (Iran) has made my line of work illegal (well, to be fair it was illegal in the past too, but restrictions were lax enough that I could move around them) and now the restrictions are so tight that I can't even legally withdraw my funds from my trading accounts anymore.
so now I'm looking to find a job somewhere in Europe or US so I can move away from this toxic political atmosphere.
I'm even willing to take entry level jobs too and a low pay, if it means I can relocate to a country in Europe or US.
now the thing is, that I have never worked for anyone else before! I learned trading myself and when I became profitable, I just stuck to trading on my own capital cause it was a lot easier than other options. but now that I want to find a job, I realize it was probably a mistake.
do institutions in Europe or US even bother with the hassle of hiring someone from a country like Iran?!
Yes. You can get a job in the EU or US with the non EU/US citizenship. They do sponsorships. However, in your situation, the real issue is your background. By this I mean, you didn't go to a target college in US/UK and don't have internship experience in S&T, HF, Investment Banking, etc...

I know I have no background whatsoever, but Im still hoping that my Trade Explorer can overcome my lack of background, since I believe its fair to say that in Forex market at least, the performance beats the background. I was wanted to know if the hassle of hiring someone from outside of EU/US has maybe forced most institutions to stick with hiring people locally. good to hear that things aren't that bad yet.

Well... my parents own a small business in the EU and they brought people from outside of the EU. It was not a very difficult process for them so if it's not difficult for a small firm to do that, I'm sure it would be even easier for a large/well established place. The US is more difficult, though. I don't know if your experience will be enough or not (no one knows what the future holds until it happens). But definitely network and reach out to people. I wish you luck and hope that you find a good job in an HF or S&T.
