First IB/AM internship -- credentials

Try to get an part time internship during the year at a local boutique IB/AM firm to get basic experience. Otherwise. Network hard and raise your gpa.

GPA is your weak point. However, Wall street loves athletes. And you could spin that your GPA is a bit low due to your commitments on the field, etc. Having said that, work hard to bring up your GPA and you'll be in good shape to land the job you want.

Just join a frat and you will be a shoe in. Lax and a sick frat is all you need.

Try to get an internship, something local - get some easy experience, anything will do - but as always the more prestigious or applicable the better.

Start networking as soon as possible. Use any connections you already have. You will make new ones easily because...

Banks love athletes. Period. I've been at two so far and this statement has proven true again and again. Some great traders and IB MDs were once great college athletes - use your lacrosse background to your advantage. Wall Street loves winners, and athletes are at the head of the pack.

Remember, it won't come all at once. Keep building experience and connections over time.
