FoF vs Prop trading shop
Hi So im a junior in a big midwest school doing engineering and I have two internship offers I can't choose between. 1. Quant Research Intern at a 10 Bn+ AUM Fund of Funds. 2. Traders Assistant Intern at DRW
The both pay about the same just wanted to get some feedback on what would be a better long term job. Where would they actually end up hiring me and which gives me more leverage if I end up going to Grad school
Thanks
What do you want to do? They are completely different jobs for the most part. DRW does hire from their summer TA pool and it is extremely well respected amongst prop shops and market-makers in general. I don't know which FoF it is or how well the research you do there will be respected amongst other firms hiring 'quants'.
do you want to be a trader or a quant/asset manager guy? simple enough
Well im interested in both. Just wanted to get an idea of what kind of job description I will have and what kind of a lifestyle is it. The FoF has an AUM of 10 bn and is preety well respected in the industry.
FoFs
