Freshman Guidance

I'd like some guidance/advice as to what I should do to obtain a job in investment banking.

Some background: I've been reading this site for about a year, but felt like I didn't have enough expertise to make an account and post (I still don't). I started college as a freshman in Spring 2010 at a tier 3 university (very non-target) but I have a 3.5 high school GPA and a 2150 SAT. I took a 1/2 year off after high school to work. Surprisingly, my school has a couple of BB analysts and associates that I've found on LinkedIN and started reaching out to. Its been somewhat unsuccessful so far. My goal right now is to keep my GPA up (4.0) and to find a PWM internship this summer; I'll already be a sophomore because I started last Spring. I will also be applying to semi-target schools for the 2012 school year and will take the spring 2012 semester off in order to get on a traditional calendar. My targets are University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, University of Virginia, and similar schools. So given my situation and the goal of obtaining an IB job, does anyone have some more specific advice for me? I'd like to start networking as soon as possible and I think getting an internship this summer is vital. Unfortunately the finance club at my school doesn't even know what PWM is, although there are several others that want to become bankers.
