Freshman Internship Question
Hey guys,
I was hoping to get some feedback on which of these internships would better help me get an IB internship next year, hopefully in the JPM Freshmen/Sophomore Summer Honors Program.
I have a corporate finance/accounting internship at a large tech firm, and a PWM internship at ML in San Francisco. The corporate finance internship seems to have better work, but the PWM internship has the name/great location.
Let me know your opinions.
What type firm are we talking about (can you give a couple comparable companies)? Well known & publicly traded? For IB, this might be the way to go.
ML PWM doesn't really distinguish you that much, but it is a good experience (esp. for a freshman).
Agree, tech firm is probably more interesting and will be more relevant experience, anyone can get ML PWM - consider taking up a PWM internship during the school year if you want a name to slap on your cv
Do PWM during school year.
Thanks for all your help guys.
I agree that the corporate finance internship would be better for IB, it's just that the commute is problematic.
Would an internship at an alternative energy "start-up" still be worth taking over ML PWM?
Hey GoodGame,
How did you get your PWM internship?
