Freshman Summer Internship Advice

I'm a freshman at Duke studying CS + Math looking to get finance experience this summer (non-diversity). I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding opportunities, databases, or methods you used when finding past internships. Are there any specific industries that are more likely to hire freshman than others? Also, I've heard that many people do not do an internship freshman year; how impactful is it if you do have a finance internship freshman year going into recruiting for sophomore summer?
