From NYC to Madrid Finance

Hi everyone. I began my finance career in NYC after graduating from a T20 US school. Long term, I’d like to end up in Madrid. I’m european, so visa shouldn’t be an issue.

What’s the best path to make that move? Is it better to spend a few years in NYC and try to transfer internally, or would it make sense to move earlier?

Also curious how much NYC experience + a US degree are valued in Madrid finance (IB, AM, WM, etc.).

Would appreciate any advice from people who have made a similar move. Thanks!
