FT 2023 - Advice
At a target and struck out for SA 2022 despite having multiple SDs at places like GS/MS. I managed to secure a SA internship at a top AM firm in an investing role but, unfortunately, for my long term career goal it seems I would need more of an IB - PE route. I was wondering if anyone could provide any tangible advice that can maximize the chances of getting a FT offer (i.e are technicals more intense?; networking strategy) for IB. I was thinking of cold-emailing my interviewers for those SDs but wanted a bit more strategic insight before going all-in like I did when I networked and prepped for SA 2022.

My buddy had a FT IB interview, had a case study, killed it, then got flown out for the interview with like 4-5 MD’s, VPs and associates, didn’t land.
But that’s how his process went, they were a much smaller shop though. I’m sure the traditional recruiting is about the same as SA roles.
