FT Recruiting

Hi everyone, rising senior here.

I am currently interning as a financial analyst for one of the biggest companies in the world, but it is not Wall Street or IB. As with many others, I am set on working in banking, and I have done an internship at a very small firm before during my sophomore summer as an IB-SA, but I was late to the 2023 recruiting cycle and failed to get an internship in IB for the 2023 year despite getting a few interviews and making it to the final round. I am very grateful for my current internship; however, I noticed that my intellectual curiosity, drive, and ambition to grow are not shared to the same degree as my peers.

I know that I am just another person in line for that IB job, and in the current markets, with all the firing and bank collapses, hiring is at a low. But as an intern who is willing to do what it takes to achieve the set-out goals, I ask for any advice/tips/recommendations to go about FT recruiting. I know where I am, and I know where I want to be, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
