FT vs SA offer decision
Have two offers right now and not sure which one to take: FT Rotational Financial Analyst program at F100 company or a Commercial Banking SA position at a BB. Which position do you think would be better to take?
Thanks!

what are your goals and what are you interested in
I'm not very sure about my long-term career goals but I would like to choose the position that leads to the most exit opps/flexibility. I will most likely stay within some sort of finance function though. Which role do you think is better in regards to exit opps/flexibility?
Thanks!
Well if you mainly want flexibility, then go with the SA role because then you can also recruit FT for something else. BB brand name is nice too.
However, id caution you about making career decisions to maximize your optionality, because eventually youre going to have to sacrifice your flexibility for your advancement. In the start of your career it’s not bad, but you should be making steps to help you figure out what youre interested in
Yeah, that makes sense. If I chose the BB but did not get a return offer after the internship, would that lead to difficulities recruiting full-time? I know that recruiting for similar level (e.g., other BBs) would prob be a bit difficult but how about other lower-tier banks and financial companies?
Thanks!
You work hard enough in your SA y’all gonna get paid more w a better name if you plan to stay in finance. Take some risk, sometimes the returns are worth it. -A stupid intern
