Fund of Funds Analyst Pay? What's reasonable
I just got offered a job at a hedge fund of funds as an analyst (entry level, I've been interning there for a short while) in the New York metropolitan area, and they want me to give them a number for the yearly base salary.
The firm is in the range of 500-700 mm AUM, and it's a small firm. As far as my experience goes, I've had several internships, in the corporate finance/investment banking realm.
How much should I ask for? My research from browsing the web has lead me to a number in the range of 60-70 thousand, with 70 being the high end of the range. My friends in the hedge fund world say this range is reasonable.
