FX trading FT vs IB 6m internship then 1st yr analyst

Got a verbal offer from Evercore MD (referred by friend to regional CEO) for 6m internship starting in September 2015 then convert to 1st year analyst in March 2016.

Waiting for offer from Citi for FX trading - all interviews done. Referred by head of FX and the head of trading for the region had very positive comments. Told the head of FX about Evercore and he said Citi will surely have an answer for me in the next 1-1.5 month.

So confused right now?

You'll hear in a 1 to 1.5 months? Why does it take so long?

There really isn't anything to advise you on except for you to figure out what you want to do - banking or S&T.

Since I was referred by the head of FX, I finished all my interview rounds before the job posting even went up. It's mandatory for Citi to have the job posting up for X number of days before hiring.

These are two very different carter paths. Once you determine if you want a career in IB or S&T the choice will be made. Make sure you understand the difference in work and lifestyle between the two
