I am a sophomore at a nontarget. Is the above this possible? I just got an internship offer from GE(F20 Company) (a control/compliance role), but my goal is to get an IB/ER SA position my junior summer. How much would this kind of internship help me?

It's better than not having an internship at all. GE is a good name to have on your resume. However, doing boutique M&A or something relevant to IB/ER is much more optimal.
