Get recommendation as a Summer Analyst?
I am a rising Junior in a BB in Market Risk and I was wondering for next year's recruitment, is it necessary or beneficial to get a letter of rec from my current MD? My department only takes masters and PHD students as associates so there I will not be back next summer. However, I feel like my MD, who doesn't work with me at all and some of the VPs I report to like me and I have a fairly solid relationship with them. If I were to ask for a letter of rec, should it be from the MD or the VP, who both have solid years of experience and amazing educational backgrounds.
Also, if I apply to other internships at other banks, will they call to ask my manager about my performance. What if I'm applying to another summer internship at the same bank?
