Getting a Job in the US from Overseas

I had four years of school in the USA, and now I am currently studying a Master of Finance in Australia, but I really want to go back to the US after a long discernment (as an international student).

Any tips on how to find a finance job in the US? Especially, is it hard to get an interview if I am not in the USA, and is it hard to get an H1B now? Also, how important is GPA/WAM for jobs in financial markets?

For me, I am currently pursuing CAIA and FRM, so ideally, I would wish I can get a in the risk management field in alternative investments. But then, getting into the USA is much more important to me.
