Getting an IB job at a Boutique
Hey guys I'm thinking about applying for jobs as IB analyst at boutique firms and I just need a little bit of direction on how to go about doing that.
I'm putting the final touches to my resume and I'll have you guys take a look at it.
But basically since boutiques don't have formal programs, I'm assuming that you have to directly call up HR or the MD's and just have a chat and make your pitch and based on their needs and your phone call, they might say "hey send me your resume"
I've decided to cold email and them follow up with a cold call so at least they have an idea who I am.
But if anyone can give me some tips and some information on what the process is like, I woudl really appreciate it.
Perhaps people who have been hired at boutiques can give me some advice
Thanks guys
You and everyone else mate, good luck. Reaching out to MDs is the way to go for boutiques, also making friends with an Analyst works if they're willing to introduce you.
