Getting job in Switzerland from US?
How difficult is it to get a position in Switzerland coming from the US as a non-citizen? I am intrigued at the idea of going over there for a few years at least.

Yes it’s hard. Employers have to prove a citizen couldn’t do the job. This is common in many countries, but I think the bar is stricter in Switzerland.
I am from Switzerland and have American friends there. They are either there because of their parents (diplomats, UN, doctors without borders, ...) or through their own companies which transferred them there. Without any local language skills there isn't a huge reason to move any US Americans though.
Do you speak French, Italian or German? Switzerland is one of the more restrictive countries when it comes to immigration for professionals.
If you can (somehow) obtain an EU citizenship, it becomes easier to work in CH.
American immigrants not welcome :).
