Global Transaction Banking Summer Analyst

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this, so forgive me if its wrong.

I'm a non-finance student at a non-target and have an upcoming interview for a summer analyst in global transaction banking at a BB. I've been going over the WSO Behavioral interview guide, but given I essentially have no finance knowledge, I'm not really sure what technicals could/would come up.

Both my previous internships have been more in tech, but that's kind of lame hence my pivot to this.

Does anyone here work in GTB/can actually explain without any BS what it actually entails/general interview tips?

Thank you!

I actually interviewed for GTB/GTS back in the day before being lucky and landed an IB interview and got that position instead lol.

Now, it's been a while, but I would expect to be able to answer:

1. What do you understand GTB/GTS to do?

2. What are some regulatory challenges/opportunities that you are aware of for Transaction Banking? ISO20022 comes to mind, also Open Banking.

3. Are you familiar with the market? How's the FX market looking atm, do you know what the EUR/USD rate is? (GTB/GTS also has FX Treasury Sales as a position)

Stuff like that. It's been a while, so maybe that Monkey Bot can shed some light into what GTB/GTS actually is, because I've never actually worked in it, I just have a very, very high level understanding (and yet, I don't fully know what exactly they do!).
