What could possibly possess you to apply to more than 3 different divisions/offices?
you sure it's your best strategy to apply for as many positions as possible? maybe pick one and make a good case why you like this one.
1st - I think you are applying a bit too early? It's the beginning of October.
2nd - Why 3 positions? It's best to just pick one. One per firm.

I want to apply to all the same position/division, but I just had no preference for location
Ahh, true, yes, good public transportation is a factor I didnt think. I dont plan on having a car, so that would be good.
But, I was also thinking, NY would be the most competitive to get accepted to(but I have no clue). Would you agree the competition is much harder in NY and LA, or mainly just NY?
