Good or Bad Idea

I have a question and was hoping I could get some feedback from some of you. Anyways there is a nearby University that one of the big Investment Banking firms is having a presentation at. Do you think it would be ok if I go even though I do not go to the school? Do you know anyone who has done this? Also if I attend the presentation, afterwards should I talk to one of the presenters and let them know I don't go the school? One more question, what are some questions you ask the presenters at these presentations? I would really appreciate any help and advice. Thanks.

you don't have many chances... some ppl may frown on you but in the end... we're all just looking for a job. do it. e-mail the recruiters beforehand though

When career fair time rolls around, I'm planning on doing the same type of thing. The worst that can happen is you aren't let into the presentation/career fair/etc.

It'd be worthwhile to approach the presenters at the end. However, I think you only need to tell them you attend a different school if it comes up naturally in the conversation. But, you may decide you want to let them know you attend somewhere else - it might impress them that you were proactive in attending the event.

No matter what, you can't hate yourself for trying.
