GPA or Interest?

I'm currently majoring in business administration with concentration in accounting and finance. Did pretty well in high school, so I came into college with a bunch of credits. My college GPA is below average, a 3.3. I wanted to do a psychology minor (lot of hard classes that requires a lot of reading though) so it might kill my GPA even more. My friend suggest me to take the easy route out and just take easy and fun electives and pull my GPA to a 3.5+ (which I know is still crappy compared to some others in this forum). Should I stick to the psychology minor? Will having a psychology minor help at all, btw?
