Graduating semester later than I stated in interviews?

So basically I accepted a 2023 CIB SA offer and told them I was graduating in May 2024. I’m now thinking of taking this semester off due to a lot of personal reasons deeply affecting my health (anxiety, depression, family, etc.).

How difficult would it be to get a return offer if they find out I’m graduating in December 2024 instead? I really feel like I need some time off to come back strong again but not if it greatly risks my chances for a return offer.

As long as you let them know then there should not be an issue. I interned with someone who asked to start later for his FT (instead of Summer --> next January) and HR was ok with it and will understand.
