GS Summer internship
I see constant posts about Goldman so I guess I'll just have to add another one. I go to Texas A&M and GS had an informational for FT last november. They also talked about their summer internship program and said they were taking resumes for that as well. They never posted a resume drop on our career center website so I emailed the MD who came and spoke to us and is coincedently from A&M. He asked me to send him my resume, which I did. He responded to a followup email I sent him about 10 days later saying "the process would start in the next few months". After not hearing anything for about 6 weeks and also moving to Dallas to start a big 4 internship I emailed him again to let him know I was not going to be on campus. He responded by saying "as long as I have your resume you are in the process". I have no clue what to think. Is this an absolute lost cause? I'm not hanging my hat on Goldman by any means because I know how difficult it is to get and even more so coming from a semi-target (non target?) like A&M. Any thoughts? Do I forget about it or keep pushing? Aren't campus interviews for summer internships over by now? Whyt wouldn't he just tell me he's not interested then? I'm new to the site, thanks for the input.
