Has anyone gone from investment banking to a controller role for a small company?
Just curious. I was approached about a role for a small (but growing) company that has made two acquisitions and has been growing the past couple of years. I understand what a controller does, and the opportunity seems really good, especially since I would be reporting directly to the CFO and interact with the other c-levels.
Any insight from experience in making the transition? Would I be at a disadvantage compared to SFA since I have not done as much P&L reporting and other FP&A type roles?
