Hedge Fund vs BB
Hello all,
I am in a dilemma at this situation. I have an offer for an position in the accounting team at a prestigious hedge fund, and a risk control position at a BB. This is for an internship. I am currently a Junior at a non target.
How is the accounting division at a Hedge Fund valued as in terms of career opportunities and learning curve compared to Risk Control at a BB.
Thanks
BUMPPP
If you are trying to leverage one of these opportunities into a better one for a full-time offer, go with the BB. A better name is always preferable, plus risk control has a slightly more relevant skill set to most positions.
Assuming you are an accounting major, you can always get a random accounting job at an HF if that's what you want.
All that being said, summer recruiting for most positions doesn't start until after the new year and goes till about mid-February. So, if one of them will let you hang out with the offer outstanding till you see if you can get something better, it might be worth it.
