Help - I am lost and don't know where to go from here

Hi guys,

I am currently a master's student in London who applied to many IB/AM graduate jobs over the last 3 months but have gotten rejected or haven't moved past a couple of interview stages. I have decent background, working in VC and PE internships at quite big firms, but with the state of the job market especially in EMEA it has been tough to get much of anything. I am also a US citizen so I do have the right to work in the US if need be.

I'm just not sure where to go from here. From what I understand all IB/AM applications have closed, but I am open to exploring new paths (Wealth Management, Private Banking, etc.) if any of it is still even open (which I doubt).

Are there any branches of finance still taking on roles in the graduate sphere? I am really lost and I appreciate any help you guys can give me. I'm just not sure where to even begin. The ideal pathway would be Equity Research but are there any open? Either here in UK or US?

IB is probably the one space where an MBA student might have trouble breaking in lol. There are a ton of Biz Dev roles and finance arms at regular companies that don’t have the crazy early recruitment cycle that IB does so I would focus on those roles. Also the economy is a bit annoying rn so don’t worry about it it’s not your fault
