Help me go to Canada

Career change time everyone, and The good news is I know exactly what I want from my career now. The bad news is I'm lower on contacts in Canada than I would like to be.

Me: uk passport / Brit
Fluent french ( worked in Quebec for a stint)
Solid numerical skills, ex currency trader but want to go into:

Either consulting or operational side of pe. My passion in work is identifying opportunities, either innovations or efficiencies. I want to be part of a team that goes into a company, either one that has called in a consultancy, or one that has just been bought by a pe outfit, and either taps untapped regions of business, optimises processes or use their assets for previously unthought of uses for profitable gain.

I've got a history of coming up with ideas and opportunities, building them and making them happen ( that's trading ), but I want to see the difference I've made. I have decided that Canada is the perfect place to make this happen, and is also a place I dream of calling home one day. A lot of the efforts out there are funded by the mega pension funds, so they want a longer timescale for their returns, the people are awesome, Brit friendly and the landscape is stunning. Now all I need to do is get there.

I have a few contacts which I'm working on, as well as the Canadian high commission, but trying to use anything and everything I have, which includes wso. If people have any ideas or angles for me on this, you will have a new friend for life if it works out, and someone that will help out whenever i can on anything for you, even if your idea doesn't work out.

Fingers crossed,

T
