Help with Networking

Other than sports, what should I read into in order to form good relationships with the general consensus of seniors working in banks? I hate talking about just work in networking calls so always try to pivot into other things to form a better relationship. With guys, this is easy for me as 99% are into sports and being a sporty guy myself, I can talk about loads of types of sports for ages. However, with females I struggle as not everyone isnt into sports. What can I learn about in order to form a relationship with them? Sorry for sounding so crude haha. Also, as a working class guy, what should I read into in order to form relationships with people from an upper class? Having interned in IBD at a big bank this past summer I found that when speaking to such people and I'd ask what are you interested in, they'd say stuff like Lacrosse and running... I still dont know what Lacrosse is. And given that I come from a minority background, I feel it's quite important for me to build relationships with people at the firm. I guess my question is whats the sports version for females and for the upper class.
