High School Gap year Finance internships

I am a senior in high school who's dream for a while has been to work in high finance and attend an Ivy(Princeton is the dream). I am strongly considering a gap year in order to try to gain acceptance to an ivy league as I was not offered admissions this year. I have heard many successful stories about people taking a gap year and taking some online classes like Harvard extension courses and also getting a job in their desired career field. These people have gone on to get acceptances at their dream schools and T25 schools. I would love to take a gap year and strengthen my profile but I have been trying to explore options for Finance internships for a gap year high school student but I was unable to find anything. Opinions on a gap year and internship ideas would be appreciated.

I highly doubt it’s going to work out as you think it will. The extension school courses are BS and don’t add any value. Unless you plan on retaking the SAT (if they require it), then I think you chances are pretty slim. You have a better shot of getting a good job by not doing a gap year and to just go to a normal college.
