Is this a reputable IB that you are interviewing with? My first reaction would be to wonder how deal flow is if an MD has an hour to spend interviewing a lateral analyst.

The alternative (and very much the most likely scenario) is that this senior banker has been burned in the past by lateral analysts not working out or not being as good as their resume might indicate and has taken it upon him- or herself to make sure that you can actually walk the walk. I would expect a few technical questions, but the rest could very well be behavioral. Have some views on the product or industry if it's a coverage group, general macroeconomic conditions, etc. Try to be personable.

Had several one hour interviews for FT recruiting. Most likely will be divided between technicals (first) and then behaviorals. In between they may throw in a small case study or stock pitch. But if its with a senior banker, most likely going to be more behavioral and fit-based. Seniors usually don't ask technicals, and when they do it's not nearly as long-winded as an analyst interview.
