Houston Interns - who got drug tested?

I'm curious because I have heard nothing about doing a drug test. I got my offer back in January and have received all of my background test info/HR forms/have even booked my flight for training..but no notice of a drug test. Am I safe to assume there won't be one? Can any previous interns chime on on if they got tested or not?

There is a very good chance you won't get drug tested. I am not SA, but FT and know most BBs do not do drug tests in Texas. I heard multiple reasons, but I heard one is because the Texas government believes its a privacy issue and infringes on freedom. Don't know how true that is.

Do you know which BBs do? My offer letter mentioned something about it, but nothing since had. And I figured if I've gotten my sign in bonus/all my paperwork/booked my flight I should be ok right? There's no way they'd ask for a drug test once I start training or anything..right?

My employment information told me that there would be a test no more than 45 days before I started and I just got information to take it last week. For me, they stated it clearly with the offer information but this was an oil company not a bank.

I'd still be careful though, last summer I was at a major oil trading internship in houston and I got randomly tested about 2/3s of my way through the internship. But, I'm pretty sure they had warned me about it during one of the information sessions the first week.
