How can I maximise my connections as a high schooler

Hello. I am a high schooler wanting to work in IB in the future as a trader. My parents are both MDs, one in PB and one in IB. Most of their friends are MDs in IB too and some have their own hedge funds, PE, and VC. All of them went to target schools both in US and UK so maybe i can be a legacy lol. Should I ask them to let me intern or job-shadow? I also want to know if I should study ALevels or the International Baccalaureate in UK if i want to go to the US for uni. I'll probably study Math AA HL, Physics HL, and Economics HL if i study IB, and Fmaths, maths, physics and economics for ALevel. I want to study aerospace engineering so I can be an engineer as a back door if no banks want me, but most of my parents friends studied math or economics.

Thanks for your advice in advance.
