How closely do firms check your transcript?

Title says it all. I withdrew from a course last semester and I'm considering doing that again to protect my GPA. This will show up as two consecutive W's (Withdraws) on my transcript which I'm pretty sure is a bad look. Will banks see this when I recruit? Will they decide not give an offer because of this?

For reference, I am a computer science major and I'm interested in tech roles at hedge funds and prop shops. I'd appreciate answers specific to these firms. Thank you!
