How do I network in an east European country?

As I mentioned in the title, is this even possible? I totally understand there's whole different culture between west and east but you guys think I can get a job through networking?

It doesn't have to be necessarily a job but an internship would be great.

If by EE you don't mean a non-EU country, why do you want to work in an east European country in the first place? No AUM, no real M&A activity, deals are often managed through London/Frankfurt/whatever.

Poland is probably the most interesting place, but the job market is still oversaturated there.

The country i'm living in is part of the EU(Romania), and i'm not talking necessarily about IB,HF and PE but audit, consulting, accounting and other relative domains of the finance industry. I need experience and internships, and most great MSf programs seem to look for work experience as well not only good grades and high GMAT.

If you are willing to relocated, I know they opened a new PwC branch in Gdansk (Poland). They are recruiting at the moment so if you really want experience, that might be the place to start
