How does full time MBA associate recruiting work?
This summer I will be a summer associate at a BB bank- non GS/MS/JPM, but in what is generally considered a top group. I am coming from an M7 school if that is relevant.
I am pretty interested in switching to an EB (EVR/Moelis/LAZ/Q) for full time if at all possible, in part because of the M&A focus and potential relative industry focus, but lets be honest, in part because of the large pay differential between boutiques and bulges.
I have checked, and the threads that have already discussed this are focused on those summering in other industries.
How does the process of full time recruiting generally work for MBAs? What is the timing?
Will it be possible to recruit if I did not get an interview at a bank? (I had superdays with some but not all of the above).
Any advice from those who have done this kind of thing would be great!
Bump. Also curious about this. I'm going to an EB this summer but interested in how the lateral EB recruiting works. All I have heard is that it is very "under the table" and informal.
