How does one secure a front office quant position?
Basically the title says it all. How does one end up working for something like the Goldman Sachs Strats team? What type of undergraduate education do they go through? Do they need a specifc major? Do they come from specific schools? In addition, did most of them start off in front office quant positions or did they work their way up, and how so? Any grad education? If so, which degree and schools?
