How hard is it to get into IB from Texas A&M?

I am currently a freshman gearing up for IB recruitment at Texas A&M. I want to know what are my chances for breaking into IB. I have a 4.0 maybe a 3.8 by the end of the semester worst-case scenario. I am transferring into Mays specifically finance in the fall. I can't get into Aggies on Wall Street because I'm not in Mays right now so what clubs should I join? What orgs or clubs should I join other than Aggies on Wall Street? What should I do to get a summer internship and what are the odds of me breaking into IB? Thanks for your time.

I did not go into IB directly from A&M. Recruited via MBA this year.

That said when I was at Mays, there was an organization called Horizons that wasn’t exactly affiliated with Mays but held meetings in the building. They had a consulting and finance focus and placed people pretty decently. Not sure if this is still the case, but you might try asking around.

Are you interested in Houston, New York, or elsewhere? I’ve heard A&M places very well in Houston. There are also some alumni in New York, but not sure how many.

Don't go to texas a&m but I have seen some solid placements on linked in. I would highly reach out to the guys who are incoming summer analysts on Linkedin and ask them what they did to get the offer. That's your best bet on clarification.
