How many networking emails do bankers receive?

I’m sure this varies by group, the school they attended, geography, etc. But just curious if anyone in the industry wanted to share how many cold emails from college students they receive per week on average.

I am close to becoming an associate (already got the offer but will have to wait some months, nonetheless got an offer for the buyside to change in 1y so lets see what happens, Covid is making me to change my views)

Usually MDs dont tend to have these calls unless a they are referred by some of the team.

Senior analysts and Associstes tend to have most networking calls in my experience, and those who are good are referred to VPs or other A&As

 

I usually check their Linkedins, if I see their profiles can match our requirements I try to have a brief call (15mins) if its a stellar candidate I usually try to spend around 30-45mins

Some weeks I have no calls and some others I may have 4-5. Most of the times at 1am or weekends tho, candidates usually are willing to adapt to our working schedules and shows real interest in the firm if they are ok with that
