How much Weight Does a Global Group Head Referral Have in Interview Process
In interview process for NYC BB. I got referred by a global group head of coverage group. He has been on TV and many news articles for the firm to help illustrate how much of a big shot and rainmaker he is.
My dumb question is I go the interview already through him, I of course will still have to perform, etc. My question is, will his referral have enough power where I can botch some technicals etc and I will still get the offer?
My thought process is my interviewers might be like "He was referred by XYZ, we dont want to upset XYZ or question why we did not hire his referal kid, so just hire him anyway" lol sorry for the dumb question.
