How often should I be networking?

Just started at a BB in July in the group I interned with during Summer 2020. So far, I have enjoyed my experience. I like my team and I find the work interesting.

During my summer internship, older mentors encouraged me to network with people across the bank frequently, even if I was happy where I was. To all the first-year and second-year analysts out there, is this something you're doing?

I understand it's very important to keep an open mind and have your options open, but I wouldn't want this to get back to my group and lead them to think that I'm trying to lateral / recruit elsewhere.
