How relevant is age / Will I be okay ?
Hey everyone,
I am new in this field of work and on this forum. Currently studying and interested in IB.
I worked as a Business Analyst for a financial institution for several years. I am now in my early 30s.
Can I still succeed? Can I have a similar career path as the people who graduate by the time they are 22?
GPA is where it needs to be, finishing first year.
Appreciate all the help or tips.
It’s not always a race. Get an mba for a rebrand and get going
Agree with others. A T25 school or better is what you should aim for (ideally T15 or higher). Get on the GMAT/GRE studying ASAP and try to apply Round 1 next year (October 2022).
I feel like I forgot to add something that might be important here. I do not have any prior studies, so I can't just jump straight to the MBA. It is definitely a goal of mine but that means I will be between 35-40 when that happens.
If that's the case, I would try to build up other skillsets in data science/data analytics through courses/boot camps etc. Still can be very lucrative. I don't think IB is doable without a degree.
