how should someone with no consulting background prepare for McKinsey Discover (London)?
title; because this isn't a competition, I'm not sure if it is worth it to practice lots of cases. This will also be in a group that we won't meet for a few weeks. Any past participants have any suggestions?
You don't need to prepare a lot for Discover. I'd just make sure you know enough about consulting, recent trends etc to be able to have conversations with consultants and leave a good impression
You really don't need to prepare in any way or 'leave a good impression'. Just attending will show that you're interested in consulting on your CV so focus on getting to know everyone and asking the questions you care about, not ones you think will make you look good
