How to ace an internship with minimum dealflow?

Hey guys

I'm currently doing an internship within TAS / M&A. I'm looking to get into IBD for my next internship.

Unfortunately, the dealflow quite sucks at the moment. Although I do have some little (menial) tasks to fulfill, there is nothing big and special which gives me the chance to excel. In addition to that, we leave quite early in the evening due to the lack of work. That said, I haven't really had the chance to show that I am hard-working and willing intern.

I assume everyone here likes me since I get invited to grab a coffee, go for a drink or for lunch with my colleagues regularly and come along with everyone pretty well.

How should I behave in this situation?

I'm not planning to work for the firm in the near future but atleast I want to get a nice reference/feedback (more important over here in Europe) and want to learn as much as possible.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
